It is sophisticated but comfy...stylish but classic...understated but dazzling.
And now it seems the little black dress has become a must have for every girl's home...the little black door. Interior or exterior. Matte or gloss. French doors or closet doors. It doesn't matter where the black door is, it is sure to draw attention. And really, isn't that what the little black dress was designed to do?
I have a white front door and a white back door. Blah. There is no style, no dazzle, no sophistication and certainly no comfy. It is blah inside and out...well except for the dirty hand prints and paw prints that come with rambunctious children and a dog who thinks he is a rambunctious child.
But I have been inspired!
And you already know how I feel about the house in the movie It's Complicated. Check out the black trim on the door peeking out on the left. Notice the black trim on the windows? Sooo sexy, but I don't think I'm brave enough for that...yet!
I so see a little black door or two in my near future!
